Kulkarni is a Democratic candidate for Texas’ 22nd Congressional District in the south-central portion of the Greater Houston metropolitan area. Previously, he was commissioned as a U.S. Foreign Service officer, serving overseas in places including Iraq, Israel, Russia, Taiwan and Jamaica. Kulkarni also worked on national security issues in the U.S. Senate as a defense, foreign policy and veterans’ affairs adviser under a Pearson fellowship.
