Abrams is a voting rights activist and the founder of Fair Fight Action, an organization focused on voter registration, ballot access and vote counting. Previously, she served as democratic leader of the Georgia House of Representatives and ran for governor of Georgia in 2018, where she won more votes than any other Democrat in the state’s history. Abrams is the author of “Our Time Is Now: Power, Purpose, and the Fight for a Fair America” published in 2020.
